2022 - Notes from the President

Hello EHLL Family & Friends!

I know that it may be hard to get your mind on baseball and softball right now, but opening day is only 99 days away! That seems far, doesn't it? Behind the scenes, your Board of Directors is hard at work getting the ball rolling on the 2022 Spring Baseball & Softball Season!

As of 1/15, registration is OPEN for all divisions! Registration will close March 14th. We are asking that you please get your children registered ASAP so that teams can be formed (for lower levels who do not require eval/draft) and appropriate uniforms can be ordered. As with many things in the world right now, there are delays in supplies for uniforms as well. Evaluation dates will be announced ASAP.

For the 3rd year in a row, Little League International and T-Mobile have partnered to offer an amazing program to allow families in town to have their children play for free! I strongly encourage you to click the link above for the T-Mobile Grant and see if your child is eligible! In the past two years, LLI and TMobile have helped pay for almost 100 players in EHLL. We are so grateful for all that they do for our league!

As a note: Our league is open to residents of East Hartford or a child who attends school in East Hartford. When registering, you will need to provide a birth certificate (for age verification), proof of residency and/or proof of school attendance.

I am SO excited to announce that EHLL will be taking part in the East Hartford Memorial Day Parade this year! The parade has been missing from our town celebrations for quite some time and we are so excited to have it back and be a part of it!

Again, we are working closely with the Town of East Hartford Parks & Rec department and Health Department to make sure that areal COVID guidelines are being followed. I understand that the rules might not always been "fun" to follow, but they are necessary to keep our players, our volunteers and our families safe. Without our adherence to the rules and protocols, EHLL would not be able to play.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me at any time at [email protected]

Looking forward to seeing you all out on the field again in April!

Be safe and well,

Jenilee Tedesco
